I have over 25 years' experience managing portfolios for a sovereign wealth fund and a range of hedge funds. My investment strategy is characterised as macro directional trading with a medium-term investment horizon of 6 months to 1 year. The investment universe encompasses developed and liquid emerging market public market instruments.

Recently retired from professional fund management, I am now actively managing my own portfolio to preserve and grow wealth in retirement. This transition has required a fundamental reinvention of my approach — moving from purely leveraged macro trading to mastering the principles of asset allocation, and integrating that knowledge with my macro trading experience across a significantly broader investment universe that encompasses both liquid and less liquid asset classes.

For the second half of my career, I am keen to put my knowledge and experience to work — whether through consulting, or research projects where my background in macro trading and portfolio management adds value.
